Author Biography

  • Roberto Merlo, Università degli Studi di Torino

    Roberto Merlo is Associate Professor of Romanian Language and Literature within the Department of Foreign Languages and Modern Cultures at the University of Turin. His research focuses on the history of Romanian literature and language, as well as the history of translation from Romanian to Italian. In the field of linguistics, he is particularly interested in the interaction between Latin heritage and non-Latin influences in Romanian phonology and morphology. Since 2022, he has served as the President of the Italian Association of Romanian Studies (AIR).
